Angela Long
CRNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
Owner, Based at the Middle River Office
I started my career as a nursing assistant in a nursing home and then moved on to work in the neonatal and pediatric units at a local community hospital. I gained valuable experience during those early years and decided to pursue further education, becoming a pediatric emergency room nurse, then a family nurse practitioner, and finally a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I worked for eight years in an inpatient psychiatric unit, helping care for the sickest individuals during their most challenging and urgent times, along with two years in a drug and alcohol treatment program and eight years in urgent care.
That combination of primary and emergency medicine with specialized mental health training shapes how I care for patients today. I work with adolescents and adults facing depression, anxiety, insomnia, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and other conditions in today's fast-paced and often challenging world, offering comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individualized treatment plans built around each person's unique needs and goals.
I've learned that safety is paramount, and that it's crucial to listen attentively and meet patients where they are at that moment in their lives. I build every treatment plan on trust, respect, and open communication, helping patients regain control of their mental health, improve daily functioning, and enhance their quality of life.
Today, I'm fortunate to collaborate with primary care providers, pediatricians, oncologists, outpatient clinics, school psychologists, therapists, and social workers to provide Integrated Psychiatric Services in all three of my offices, working to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where patients feel heard, valued, and confident in their journey toward healing and long-term wellness.
